Personal Testimony

 

This is an introduction to me. You will learn some things about me, my beliefs and where I have come from. I am striving to make this a safe place for survivors of abuse as well as their families, support systems and firends. Please take your time as you view this site and please keep yourself safe as their may be triggering things on this site.

I am 31 years old and an abuse survivor. I will state that I am a survivor again. I stress that word because for years I viewed myself as a victim. I am a Christian that is engaged to be married and my future husband understands and is very supportive.

I can't say that my family life has been the greatest but; I have forgiven those who have hurt me. I have in a sense gotten through most of it and moved on but; I do still have some healing to do. I can only heal with Jesus Christ on my side. He is my constant comfort and friend.

I am a former Self Injurer and with the Lord's help I have overcome that. He has brought me through many things that I would not have been able to get through on my own.

I thank the Lord that He has always been there and is continuing to be there for me.
